About us · Since 1987

A better way to renew installed metal.

Founded in 1987, Electro-Static Refinishers saw a need across the Pacific Northwest for a practical way to restore worn metal without replacing it. Tearing out a handrail, a set of elevator doors or a wall of partitions is expensive and disruptive — and usually unnecessary.

Our on-site electrostatic process gives that same metal a smooth, durable new finish right where it stands, in homes, lobbies, offices and industrial spaces across Oregon and Washington.

Painter coating a metal handrail with a electrostatic paint gun

How it works

Charged paint. Grounded metal.

Catalyzed liquid paint is given an electric charge and drawn to the grounded metal, wrapping the surface evenly with very little overspray.

  1. 01

    Prepare

Clean, sand and mask the metal and the surrounding space.

  2. 02

    Ground

Connect the metal so it completes the electrostatic field.

  3. 03

    Coat

Apply charged catalyzed paint with an electrostatic gun.

  4. 04

    Cure

Let the finish cure into a hard, even surface.
